My academic record does not accurately reflect my abilities. The grades I am getting in a few subjects are not what I deserve. Your grade depends a lot on the teacher who is teaching you. My academic record reflects the abilities of my teacher not me. If a bad teacher has a student in his class who is getting an A, that doesn’t mean that the student is good at that subject. It means that the teacher is a really easy grader. I had many easy graders like that before. My health education teacher was a really easy grader, and so were almost all my Hindi teachers so far. Similarly if a student, who has a really bad teacher, is getting a bad score then that also doesn’t accurately show his or her abilities. For example my Global Issues teacher is not a very good one right now. I am getting a pretty bad grade in that class, and I know that I can do very well in a class like Global Issues. I took that class because I really wanted to and I knew I would do well. My teacher hardly looks at current events in that class. I definitely do not deserve the grade I am getting in that class, and that grade does not reflect my abilities.
Sometimes the grade you get doesn’t say a lot about you. One of my friends is an exceptionally talented dancer. His grades are not very good though, but that doesn’t reflect his abilities in other things. We do really well in things we are interested in. I will fail AP Calculus if I ever take, or physics. I will do well in things I like doing. Grades cannot completely show the abilities of students, and they definitely do not show the abilities that I possess.
